The Spirits of Prophets

The spirits of are subject to the control of the prophets. 1 Cor 14:32 (NIV)

Or as in NLT:
Remember that people who prophesy are in control of their spirit and can take turns.
This is a lesson in self control. And also a way to ‘test the spirits’ as in 1 John 4:1Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

A person should always speak out of peace … this is an expression of self control. Self Control is a fruit of the spirit – Gal 5:22-23. If a person is speaking out of a place of anything but peace … check it with God. If you don’t sense peace in a situation or conversation, you might want to leave. Be discerning. Find people who speak and act out of a place of peace, God’s peace. Be led by peace. In Jesus name. 🙂

When you have a difficult situation and do not have peace, or you are emotional because of the state of your child, or a person has been disgraceful and you don’t know what to do .. pray.
Pray.
Pray.
Find your peace. Find peace. Find the peace that surpasses understanding (Phil 4:7). Love from God also surpasses knowledge (Eph 3:19). We can also have the love that surpasses knowledge! God’s love …so awesome.

Peace and love…two things we receive from God and can ALWAYS grow in … things that surpass understanding and knowledge! An unlimited source of peace, love, joy.!

If we all spoke and acted out of  peace from God, wouldn’t our world be a better place?
We wouldn’t say things that we shouldn’t say … we wouldn’t meaningfully hurt others. We wouldn’t do things out of selfishness, or unawareness of others .. we would genuinely be looking for God’s outlook on a situation, and be concentrated on His will, and walking in obedience to Him.

I would LOVE a world like that…where everyone has their eyes set on Christ. On being like Christ. Imagine. Phew. I guess I have a new thing that I desire for this world. I guess, that’s a new beginning. Thanks God. Let’s see where this goes. 🙂
